Hi this could Also mean the Sanctumart inc. has Deactivated the site themselves
as they were the site "Administrators"
Not surprising as the site has not been updated in at least three years.
Oh well.... Glad I grabbed everything I wanted from them (including Horde) as their poser content Era seems to have finally ended for good.
Cheers

So very true

I'm another big fan of Sanctum's stuff. Shame they're not around now.
Wolf, that's a superb render.
Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.
Great render, wolf359! SA's stuff was CG movie quality modeling and texturing. Even if the website manages to come back in some form, their poser era does indeed appear finished. Current economics don't support the time investment for producing models of that quality. The poser community won't see anything at the level of Horde or GRIM again.
Aery Soul relocated over to RDNA. And yeah, Poser Content does not pay anywhere near enough to make a living wage for the huge majority of creators.
If I recall, less than 20% make more than $20,000 a year doing it full time, and most can barely make minimum wage.
Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.
Quote - hmmm, Aery Soul, gone. Santum arts, gone. Making high quality Poser content just does not seem to pay well enough. Or maybe they just like playing video games?
Poser merchants suffer from the effects of rampant piracy. When people don't get paid for the weeks or months spent creating their work, they stop producing. Who can blame them?
Where's Ayn Rand when you need her? Down in the cellar eatin' sauer kraut? Save me some, I love the stuff. Especially with potatoes and sausages.....umm hmm.

This, and many users of poser and daz simply don't know or understand how good they have it. If you were to commission such a project like one of the RD phenotypes (assuming you can even find a high end CG level artist willing to model/texture/rig for poser), we're talking 10-20K ballpark.
Poser content is VERY cheap, compared to the costs involved in making some of these items. I expect if piracy and other factors continue, other high end content makers (Stonemason, etc.) may be forced to throw in the towel as well.
The only thing that comes to mind is "WOW!!!!" and "Too bad that isn't for Poser!"

Here's a non poser project i just completed:

I really liked the gunboots she has. The guns are also very detailed. The video game its based off of has very stylized graphics.... those alone were worth the ride, but the soundtrack is killer, and the entire thing is over 5 HOURS long. I played the soundtrack while working on her probably 80% of the time.

Looks very good. What is she made of? Is this a kind of clay?
Quote - His texturing alone put his models head& shoulders above most poser content.

Awesome render and SanctumArts stuff is good, but I think I'd rather forgo that stuff if it means I'm gonna be accused of piracy every other day because I might happen to have a different screen name on another website ;).

Oh my...And here I thought All the Pavlovian, Ultra-orthodox Evangelical . Anti-Sanctumart Jihaddist's only hunkered over in the Daz forums.

Yeah Micheal Rak's (S.A.) "Customer relations" record Was Abysmal to put it kindly.
But overall any true Material "harm" he may have done to peoples Feelings Does
Not ,IMHO, Justify the Cult of HATE that Surrounds the Man.
To the point where the mere mention of his name in the DAZ Forums, Brings out all manner of melodramatic testimony & Sworn Vows Against his products
from Angry Activists Sympathetic to the now Mythical Horrors Endured by his Alleged "Victims"
LOL!!!
Cheers
Bayonetta is actually a mixture of materials. She stands about 19" tall, and is made from solid resin, clear resin, cast metal, and photo etched metal.
Resin is much like ceramic, but it can be heated and bent, unlike ceramic. Even her hair ribbon are resin, and were shaped with a heat gun.

I don't know what happened to the website. If they have in fact closed up shop I'm sad. While I was not a fan of their work as it is not my preferred genre, they did have a fan following. And despite the controversy they generated at times with their customer service and odd terms of usage, it is always sad to hear that a long time artist is disappearing from the community.

I bet if you posted these pics in the Spawn.com forums you get some buy offers on her. There are some mad serious collectors over there.
I was a spawn figures member going back to when it was created.. LOL! I actually have a silver test pull of the McFarlane Dawn figure, and a few prototype pulls of items, liek the deluxe cy-gor head, and the terminator head. (Since they never released the arni terminator, thats a cool collectable, and its 1:6 scaled!)
Chet (The Toy GUY) And Steve the victim are personal freinds.
That said, with at least 60 hours into this statue, and the initial cost of it, odds are I'd have to sell it for at least $1000. The original unpainted kit alone cost $400 US.
And back to the topic, while I liked SAs craftsmanship, I disliked thier attitue so much I never bought on item from them as a result. When it comes to artists and art, the personality is almost as important as the creation to me.
I simply won't support people who are jerks.

I'm not sure even that much would encourage me to recreate another for us.
I was diagnosed with diabetes severely last year, and almost died in the hosptital. (Some of you might recall me mentioning it.)
In a VERY odd stroke of luck, a combination of severe diet and timing rebooted my system apparantly, and I no longer need to take any medication, and all symptoms are virtially gone! VERY bizarre, and the entire thing has made no sense to any of my Drs at all. By all counts, I shoulda had massive organ failure last year. (They finally clocked me at 1628 glucose, 3 times what normally puts people in comas.)
The only exception, is my vsion has been screwed up. It changes over the course of the day, so one pair of glasses can't really hack that, so I ended up using 2 sets of magnification glasses for 1 foot or less, and another pair for 3 foot away or so.
I wasn't even sure if I could do work like this anymore, so its kind of a personal achievement for me.
Thanks for the kind praise though, guys! Makes me proud.

Prolly my best McFarlane finds are the Movie Maniacs 18" Edward Scissorhands (still in the box) and the entire set of Clive Barker's Infernal Parade.
Congrat's on your recovery Gareee, that sounds like...a miracle!

He is one of my favourite artists, and I am a huge fan of his Dawn work!

Sounds like you were flirting with Diabetic Ketoacidosis. When I was diagnosed, my blood glucose was over 700, and I was in for a major myocardial infarction, which resulted in 6 way bypass. Oddly I never lost consciousness in either case. What very nearly ended this life, was aggressive anal cancer
For glasses, may I suggest those multifocal blended lenses? I will be getting those at the end of August. Without Transitions, they run around $200/pair for the lenses.
Any idea where I can purchase the "Horde"? I have a commission piece and that would be perfect! Sucks that he's gone. Is he selling else where?
