As far as I'm concerned, Daz Morph Loader Pro (Daz Studio 3 version) is for Poser. You can export the cr2s. Once in a while, a jcm might not work as expected due to miniscule differences in the falloff zones within Daz Studio. PoseMorphLoader by colorcurvature was designed for Poser, so it might work more consistently.

Could someone provide a link to PoseMorphLoader?  I can't find it in the marketplace.

As far as I know, Renderosity was the only place where you could buy the utility. I don't see colorcurvature in the merchant list at Renderosity.

The market is an unthinking, unfeeling conveyor belt that can dump useful things into oblivion if the product doesn't move in time.

Perhaps he has a website? He does! He has a website! 😄

(Just click on the word "website"...)

OOps... the get-it-here.. re-directs to here. Might try to drop him a line?

I haven't talked to Hannes for a while having been tied up with several "real life" situations, but the last time I did he led me to believe that his script had not been selling very well, which is a shame since I find it indispensable for content creation! It may be that it dropped into the clearance section and was pulled from the store. At any rate I would also suggest that you email him, I'm sure he'd be willing to sell you a copy.

Well, I bought it... I'm a big believer in supporting brilliance. 😄

Hi all, thank you for interest, and your friendly comments.

The tool is not in a store currently, but I hope to bring it back somehow. It has been asked for several times.

The reason why I pulled it is the less known shading issue that Poser has at body part borders. That issue made me doubt whether the morphs my tool makes are really good enough for commercial use. Currently, I think they work out very well, its the future I am wondering about.

Noone ever complained about it, in practice it seems to have been a rare issue. But I was worried that this "bug" could trigger changes in the Poser core that might have a negative effect on existing content in future versions of poser. In the meanwhile, Poser team acknowledged the problem, and this awareness should help fixing the problem without breaking existing content.  But that is out of my control. I really hope for the best, some of the most popular creations here on rendo are based on this morphloader.

The manual is still up here: http://cgscripts.colorcurvature.com/PoseMorphLoader_Manual.pdf

For personal use, I would sell for a low price. For commercial usage, I have yet to decide. Either way you can reach me at mail @ colorcurvature.com

Morph Loader Pro is not sold as a separate plugin for DAZ Studio.  It is only sold as part of the Advanced Figure setup tools bundle for DAZ studio.

The plugins for DS do not work in Poser as Poser uses Python scripting and DS uses QT scrpting.  DAZ kicked around the idea of Python scripting for DS but decided against it before the beta release.

DAZ sells Morph Loader but it lacks feature the pro version has.

With the prending release of DS 4 Advanced and 4 Pro, the setup tools will be replaced with what DAZ is calling the Content Creation Tools.  No date for release or price has been mentioned to date.

The current figure set up tools work in DS3 but not in DS4 and will not be updated for 4.

Love the product, have the product, hope to see it come back. Haven't tested it in PP2012 yet but praying it works...

Thank you, but I am afraid it will not work. The python version changed and needs to be recompiled and retested. I need a bit time to do that because I am moving to a different apartment.

Good on you - hope your move goes smoothly. I'm glad to hear that you intend to support this product if only for those who have bought it (and haven't had the problems you outlined above)... this is what makes Poser's community and the product the premiere 3D art community and supporting products they are.

Hi Colorcurvature:)

Good to see you.

I use posemorphloader exclusively for all my morphs in Poser figures. I have the daz settup tools but your script does a much better job than morphloader pro. Very accurate.  I know the shading issue you mean. I have to say though I have only had it occur once in literally hundreds of morphs. Posemorphloader has been a pleasure to use due to the fact I can work right from within Poser with it and its accurate quality results. The best I have ever found. I do hope you will bring it back in the near future. There is more need for it now than ever.

cheers.

Mike
