I meant the 18 meters long carcharodon megalodon, a prehistoric shark and also the biggest who had ever lived. His teeth was 20 to 28 centimters long. Well, in one word, the king of the oceans. Anthony, would be cool to have one of your scuba-divers alongside of such a beast. Or maybee a scuba-vehicle in the marianne-deepness which found one who had overleaved.

A scuba diver could not live in the Marianas Trench. A few hundred feet is the limit for scuba diving even with the fanciest of breathing gases. Perhaps with a liquid-breathing set, perhaps, in the future, see this link.Merely use a Great White Shark alias Jaws model and select its BODY and scale it bigger. If anyone knows of a realistic detailed Great White Shark model, it could be made into a Poser model, including getting its throat to distend as it swallows something big. If you want something that does that job but is mechanical, I made a model of a suitable device, see this link. The sub is in the Poser Free Stuff.
Yes Anthony, their upper and lower jaws should be done as separate groups which should be children of the Nose. I would organize the PHI-File as follows: 1 hip xyz 2 Neck yxz 3 Head yxz 4 Nose yxc 5 LowerJaw yxz 6 LowerTeeth xyz 5 UpperTeeth xyz 5 LeftEye yxz 5RightEye yxz 2 Tail1 yxz 3 Tail2 yxz 4 Tail3 yxz 5 UpperBackfin zxy 5 LowerBackfin zxy 2 ShoulderFin yxz 3 ShoulderFinTip zxy 2 LeftSidepaddle zxy 3 LeftSidepaddleTip zxy 2 RightSidepaddle zxy 3 RightSidepaddleTip zxy May don't know if this curve option (which is used by the poser-horses tail) will also work for other animals. But if it does this would be cool anyway for all animal-characters with a lot of backbones.
Have taked a 2nd look and see what i had done wrong. Cool rotations on the nose of "yxc". There was also a wrong setting at the nose in whole and the jaws. Well, hope the PHI-file makes now more sense and shows better what i meant. 1 hip xyz __2 Neck yxz ____3 Head yxz ______4 Nose xyz ________5 LowerJaw xyz __________6 LowerTeeth xyz ________5 UpperTeeth xyz ________5 LeftEye zxy ________5RightEye zxy __2 Tail1 yxz ____3 Tail2 yxz ______4 Tail3 yxz ________5 UpperBackfin yxz __________6 UpperBackfinTip zxy __________6 LowerBackfin zxy __2 ShoulderFin zxy ____3 ShoulderFinTip yxz __2 LeftSidepaddle zxy ____3 LeftSidepaddleTip zxy __2 RightSidepaddle zxy ____3 RightSidepaddleTip zxy
Hey Sharkey: The Phi looks better this time now :) I just have one more question, According about what I understood about the phi structure, the coords settings refers about how the parts will be twist, do a side to side and bend, the first coord setting is in which axis system will the part twist, I noticed that the hip has a different settings for the rest of the parts, do this has to be with something undocumented about phi file's structure? I'm very interested about this, because as we all know there is not too much clear information about how to make a phi file. Best regards Virus

Virus, about the setting for the hip it's not something special (btw: i'm not a specialist for PHI-file or setting joints) I just thinked the most direction i would turn a fish is up and down swimming while the left and right turn i would do the most times with camera movement. There's a really good tutorial about creating CR2-files from SAMS3D, because it describes a point and gives at end of each description a explanation why. I used this for the last car i'm done and hided the unneeded turn-dials and renamed the needed. May you allready know all this technical-stuff. For me it was completelly new. Anyway i have attached the link to it. Hey thanks Anthony, now as you described the curve-thing i will definitely test if this will work, because this will give most of the animals much more naturality. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
