Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 30 8:14 pm)
you might need to buy an add on package - one of the modules if i recall that will enable you to import objects, im not sure if esprit has this capability or not.
If it does, or you buy the module then you can import .obj and .lwo files and they will work properly.
Chances are if you can import .pz3 files you can import .obj and .lwo as well.

Esprit has the 3d import module already it appears so you should be good to go.

If you want to be organised, then you can have them in your vue folders, I have my own folder system on a seperate hard disk with all my 3d models though, its not quite as strict/mean as poser.

I'm a new Vue user and could use some advice. I am using Vue 8 Esprit and yesterday I found some great space ship models in Lightwave and Object formats that I would like to use. Will these open directly in Vue or do I need to open them first in Poser and save as PZ3 files? If they do open directly in Vue should I add them in the same folders with my VOB files or do I need to import them from an outside folder? Will the textures import with the models?
On a related note, I haven't had a chance to look, but does anyone know if Vue includes any outer space atmospheres? I am familiar with using planets, but am not sure how to add stars, constellations, and other background elements.
