Subject: How do I turn a body part onto a prop?

I want to add extra arms and whatnot to some figures and it would be easier if I could just add them as props instead of going throught he process of doing it the way I saw some tutorial said to. Is there a way to take a whole segment like an arm and make it into a prop?

yeah, pose the arm the way you want it, then export it as a wavefront object. It will allow you to choose what part you wish to export, you'll choose the hand, fingers, forearm, shoulder & collar.
