Subject: Renderosity and YouTube?

I should assume this is the real thing,

I'm curious why a YouTube page would exist if not for the benefit of the Renderosity community. Has anyone on the team discussed the use of an official Renderosity YouTube, and what it would be used for?

From promotional content, to user content. An active page with many more active subscribers could generate traffic, and exposure for Renderosity, and it's members. A few videos exist that display content made by other members, and promote the site in their own way.

Could Renderosity have a use for YouTube? A high enough subscriber base, and video collection could mean a partnership. Since a page already exists I thought this would be better suited here and not in the suggestion forum.

I didn't know about it either :P

Unfortunately, zero uploads. It does provide a list of favorites though it's been inactive for four months.

No chance to see it... access forbidden at Germany!! :(

That's strange Hubert. The page itself is blocked?

Here is a shorter link to just the user page if it's the video's blocking you. I've only experienced blocking in my country for a small amount of videos with music tracks.

This Youtube page mentioned above is, in fact, the official page of Renderosity.  Although there is little in-house generated content, it is our hope that our community will feel welcome to upload and share 2D & 3D related content on this page.

In the future, Renderosity would like to provide more original content to this page.

Thanks,

Tim

thaaksma,

Thank you for responding. That response made me optimistic about the future. :D

Hi Inland-Artist,

That's strange Hubert. The page itself is blocked?
Not the page, but this video!

Cause: YouTube itself doesn´t allow me to view this video from here at Germany, because it contains music which wasn´t licensed correctly for local German laws/purposes. Youtube has according legal agreements with the "GEMA" (kinda copyright watchdog company here at Germany) to filter and block content to prevent possible copyright violations. Just business as usual..... sigh!
