"Come to think of it, it doesn't seem to see anything that wasn't installed before I added the runtime to the list. Any advice?"
'Anything" being anything in that particular runtime or just anything you've installed to any runtime since then, ever? And what is your top-of-folder-hierarchy with the Daz runtime? "content" or "runtime"?

Okay, I think I see maybe what happened, it looks like some of the recent stuff installed in a runtime WITHIN my runtime. It'll take an hour or so to transfer all the data, but I'll let you know if that doesn't solve things. Thanks for responding so fast. Sorry for wasting your time with a novice mistake. Been a lot of runtimes popping up as I try to figure out this automatic content installer I got.
It's all good. I'm not entirely convinced that the Daz runtime thingie actually works well with Poser's expectations, for some weird reason... meaning: I've sort-of seen this happen before, so don't feel bad. I've cut my ties with Daz entirely and set my runtimes completely for Poser, where "runtime" is top of the hierarchy. But your setup should work!

I recently started using Poser 8, I decided to have it share it's runtime with my DAZ 3 runtime, which sits on my desktop. The problem is tht every time I install new content, DAZ notices it right away and P8 doesn't. I tried the little refresh button on the library tab in poser 8, but to no avail, it still doesn't see new things. Come to think of it, it doesn't seem to see anything that wasn't installed before I added the runtime to the list. Any advice? Common meat-head tactics would say remove the runtime fromt he lsit and re-introduce it but I'm not sure how to do that either and I'm afraid I'll do somethign to my runtime
