More beauty...
Helle, I know your love for architecture, and this fits right in with your many other works of buildings & low skylines & vases, etc. In fact your 'skyline' here feels very Northern European, the way the forms pile up on each other. Love the light from behind as well, varying Lucinda's original mysterious light...
Lucinda, your quilt samples are beautiful...I know that quilting is a very old art, and it gives you the chance to sink into each pattern & commune with it for a while. I assume it's that way when you do it digitally too. These would be great as very large pieces, btw, with many patterns across the frame...
Mark, both of your pieces have a real mystery, the way you fade your backgrounds (in the first, you moved the main tree to the other side & added trees & then engulfed them in mist, fine manipulation). Here, the two visitors seem from another lifetime, and the light seems to be consuming the church from behind. Very imaginative.
And thank you for your comments, everyone, I'm glad you saw fantasy in my pieces. I was going for an "Alice in Wonderland" look, yes Lucinda; and Tara, thank you for seeing something 'new' in my work, I really appreciate that. Thanks to you all, I don't get here enough & it's one of the best forums on the site.
A happy Sunday from me as well! Mark
Hi Friends!
Thank you Tara, Mario, Lucinda and Mark for your kind words about my first Post. Actually I wasnt sure I could make anything worth mentioning, when I have seen what wonders, that could be done in here, but I desided to give it a try.
On this Page I love what Tom did. Awesome Photo Manipulation.
And Feliciti´s dreamy morning look is just lovely.
Vaggabondd´s Evening style is so nice and peaceful.
Lucinda´s Quilts are really gorgeous in both color and patterns.
Dashboard´s ghost atmosphere is really great and a bit Spooky.
And Mark (anahata). This is just so lovely and exciting and there is so much to see in all three images. I am happy to see your orps, as they are your trademark :) Dont know where you get these wonderful colors, but WOW!!! I am so glad i dont have to choose here.
Wish you all a great Sunday.
Helle
A good week to you all! :-)
3 more beautiful images!
Helle, I love how your church glows against the night sky. With the church, light, and starry sky, I thought of Christmas. 'Silent Night' started playing in my head. I like the bell.
Maria, Lovely images! Scary and dramatic sky in the first one. I think most Texans would risk such lightening for some rain. Beautiful color and mood to your last one. I like the heavy outlining of the windows. I hope your grandaughters are feeling better.
Mario, you start the next thread. I look forward to seeing your picture!
Preview the photos I had chosen for the new week. These are the old ditch on the Bara pumps iirigazione m emissary of Lake Massaciuccoli, the Apuan Alps in the background, behind the hills of Massarosa. Photo taken from the point where the new pumps are located.
Here's the link to this week's DITI. Thank you, Mario! :) Nice job!
