Very nice this one, Pete! But the thing I like most is your obvious pleasure in preparing these pictures!

I'm a child at heart which is why i like playing with simple thing's, Being too serious can take the fun out of thing's ,No fun = being fed up.

I don't have any real clue how to do these thing's and quite happily stumble my way along.

Take care my friend

Thanks, Pete! Into something we are very similar, I always sosstengo for a better life must continue to follow the child that is within us and not take everything too seriously!

Here's a copy of the "game rules," since it's been several weeks since we've seen 'em!  :)  (I stole this from MrsLubner) :

....................................

For those of you who have not played this game before of for those who haven't done it in a long time, here is how it's done...

A photograph of any quality or subject is posted at the start of the week.  Members are free to use that photo and change it in any way by adding, deleting or manipulating  elements into it.  It does not have to be labor intensive. Something quick and easy is as much fun as something that takes a long time and is very intricate.

Each member can have up to 3 tries at it each week. You can do something to the original post or something to one of the "morphed" images.

Max image size is 800x600, and 200kb.

The first person who puts up a re-worked photo after the original one is posted is the person who is responsible for uploading the next Monday's original image for us to work with.

If you have any questions, be sure to ask.  Several of us are "old hands" at this and we will be glad to help out.

Interesting photo, Pete! That piece of wood  seems really a large spoon!

My first image was reworked in Photoshop, Flaming Pear,  Flood (glue: hue). I cropped the image because it was too heavy!

Have a great week! :-)

Believe it or not it is a spoon.

I captured it at the Royal Botanic Garden's in Edinburgh

Nice images so far people---I'm only trying to egg you on...

My second elaboration is done with Photoshop. sepia tone, filter renderering, effects of light (omni), texture (graininess)! :-)

Incoming Question....

I have just realised that since people are in different time zone's.

How are they supposed to stand a chance at posting first if the starting image is posted by someone in a different time zone?

Left the spoon outside too long and it shrunk

TomDart ( ) posted Thu, 15 September 2011 at 9:04 AM · edited Thu, 15 September 2011 at 9:06 AM

I don't belive time zones are goiing to affect who is the first poster with a diti done image.  Some of us are not in competition to be next and also not in a great rush to get an image put together.  Some may wait a day to post, perhaps.   I like to think about it in a graphics program and then do one.  Later, I may or may not get to the entry limit of 3 images during the week.    When the original  a very fun image to work with, the third one is the most difficult since it is the last allowed by the rules.   Here is a simple try from me for this week...been away most of the week and only time for one attempt. : )

This is a fun one and I wished I had started sooner...yikes!

The kind giant asked only for enough water to fill his spoon and he would be on his way into the wood.   So little was the stream that day the fishes stayed together in school, the deepest part of the brook... and the water wheel would not turn.   Three hours passed to fill the giant's spoon and in the meantime we sat on his knees and shared tales of where we had been..along wiht fresh berries and goat's milk.
