Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 10 10:00 pm)
Which OS? There were issues with OSX running Poser 2012 and I assume Poser 9 in 64 bit mode and python scripts in the beta process. You had to do info on the app and change to 32 bit mode. Also a lot of scripts have to be updated to run in PP2010 and or P9 by the developers.

So.. as my Poser Pro 2012 is still downloading.. Are you suggesting I should install it as a 32 bit application eventhough I have a 64 bit OS? Doesn't that sorta negate the whole idea of a 64 bit system?
Hm well we'll see if I get this error. At least I know a way to make it go away, now :)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
I've had the same problem - installing it first with 64bit AND 32bit - i got the above mentioned error "numpy.core.multiarray failed to import" starting up PoserPro2012.
Uninstalled and reinstalled it ONLY as a 64bit version - no error after starting PoserPro2012.
So this is working - but i've got another problem now.
Trying to render a full scene in firefly mode, after being finished with the render, the rendered image gets overwritten immidiately with a simple grey color. So - the rendered image is gone ... It works in the 'area render' mode - but not the full render mode ...
I've filed a ticket to the Smith Micro support about this - so waiting now for a response ...
Everything else working fine - except this render problem (... which is quite a problem, because if there is no finished render left, then why should i set up a scene ;-) ... (it's working fine in my Poser Pro 2010 all the time).
Otherwise i mainly use Poser to set up figures/objects to be used in Vue - so right now, not too much of a problem for me, still - i would like to see a fix for this sometimes :-) - but reading through other posts here in the forum, it works fine for other users.
I also can confirm this. Had 32 and 64 Bit installed first and got the error. Uninstalled and installed only 64 Bit and no error. This also gave me the chance to install new without the content. I ended up keeping maybe 5 figures from the content plus some nature props. But I did not buy Poser for the content.

After installing and running PP2012 for the first time I get this Poser error: Error importing the wxPython API.
MainWacros prints: numpy.core.multiarray failed to import.
Did I miss something when installing or is this a bug?
