Carrara isn't here yet, but it should be released this fall sometime. All the features of RayDream Studio 5.5 and a few from Infini-D. -Jeff H.

Hey Jeff, What do ya think about the rendering engine of Carrara? Do ya think it will be faster then Bryce4? with more stuff? Anything you want to add? Spike

I'm not sure it will be faster, but the MC engineers say the renderer is great. -JH.

I just ordered Carrara today. The kind lady at Meta customer service said it will ship the last week of OCT. Upgrade from RDS5 is $199. Full is $599. If you have RDS5.5 I hear it's only $99. Wished I could find more info than what the Meta site has on it. DM

A Bones plugin was available for RDS5, I assume the company that made BoneBender is working on one for Carrara as well. -JH.

The latest release date for carrara is 12/15/99. It just might come out this year.
