Subject: PP2012 library window?

thefixer ( ) posted Thu, 22 September 2011 at 1:47 AM · edited Mon, 18 November 2024 at 6:14 AM

Is there a way to dock this to the main screen, I find it awkward to use as another open window and would prefer it as part of the whole..

TIA.

Install flash 11 beta and set it to embedded library in the general options of Poser

Go into the General Preferences /  Library tab and change the launch behaviour (you can also stop that maddening hide-and-seek default behaviour).

You might experience problems; SM people gave this solution.

I personally am going to keep the library window floating as it saves some space in Poser main frame.

P.S.: beaten in the speed game

GIMP 2.7.4, Inkscape 0.48, Genetica 3.6 Basic, FilterForge 3 Professional, Blender 2.61, SketchUp 8, PoserPro 2012, Vue 10 Infinite, World Machine 2.3, GeoControl 2

And it's still not possible to dock it in the 64bit version, right?

If it is please tell me how..I keep hitting any other open window than the library L I'd prefer if it was attached to the main Poser window, even if I do appreciate the added space :)

If only it coud somehow be set to "take focus" when you moved the mouse to a pre-defined spot on the screen... THAT would be cool!

I have Pro/64 bits installed and the window docks.

My understanding is that Flash doesn't work with 64 bit or has that changed recently?

There is a 64 bit beta of Flash 11 at Adobe Labs.

From the readme:

Quote - Flash Player is required for the Embedded Library to run. AIR is required only for the External Library to run. Running the Embedded Library in the 64-Bit Windows version of Poser requires a 64-Bit Flash Player. As of this release, 64-Bit Flash 11 is in public beta, so AIR is required and only the External Library is available. However, if 64-Bit users want to use the Embedded Library, they can choose download and install the most current 64-Bit version of Flash from this link: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11.html

does it show library thumbnails at actual pix size, like it did in P7?

i like to put the product promo images at 200x260 or 200x200 in the library folder, and then the actual content thumbnails at 140x140.

This version works fine for me on 64 bit Windows with PP2012

Turn on Embedded library in General preferences to make it active

when you float the palettes, can it hide the white box outline?

to make it transparent, like in P7?  or make the white box top bar thinner?

No, in floating state they get their borders and top bar. No way to turn that off

Well having played with PP2012 for the first time in earnest tonight, I've changed my mind, I actually like having the library in another window...LOL
