Subject: Preview Window Docking PP 2012

ToxicWolf ( ) posted Sun, 02 October 2011 at 7:02 AM · edited Fri, 24 January 2025 at 4:20 AM

This may sound a little strange and there may be no way to do it but, does anyone know how to stop PP 2012 from docking the preview window when you move it around?  Is there a way to turn off the docking for everything so you can just move stuff around and put them where you want them like you could in Poser 7?

I really need my preview window to stay at the ratio I set it too so I can see the way the final render will come out.  I do a lot of HD 1920x1080 renders so I like the preview to stay at 1024x576. This is very helpful if you are working on a movie file with 2000 frames.

I’ve looked at the PDF file but don’t see anything on it.  Sorry if this was answered before.

Click the very small square icon at the extreme top right hand corner of the preview window. In the pop up menu that appears un-check "Drag-Docking Enabled"

Thanks Phil.  That really is a SMALL square.  It worked perfectly and made my life much easier.

after you get the UI like you want it, save a UI dot so if it accidentally reverts you can switch it back to how you like it.
