Subject: moving by longitude and latitude coordinates

Can you move objects by longitude and latitude coordinates as as opposed to Kilometers or meters?

how can I move box for example to center at 11.25 long by 11.25 lat?

I think Iread their is long lat controls but I dont know where?

These controls are only available in Planetary mode, when you use a spherical scene.  To crate a spherical scene, you need to activate ths option Under the File/preferencess menu, last tab.

I set that up. I do see the side of the planet. but when I look at the test object of sphere and I look at the move values they are only showing km or meters not long or lat. where is the lat and long displayed?  as i move the sphere it slides over the planet but I dont see where lat and long are displayed?

Hmmm... Vue is rendering atm, so I can't check, maybe only gizmos work in lat/long, but numeric values are not reflecting this.

Convert the lats/Longs to UTM coordinates and then you can utilise the M/KM for moving.  Lats/Longs are too imprecise to use in localized areas.   It is much easier to move by 1.5m rather than "0D 0' 0.013543" at 315D 42' 12.34254" " or whatever the spherical distance may be.

If you are trying to approximate a position on Earth, Lats/Longs are for spherical geometry rather than working out a distance on a geoid.  Then you'd also have to employ a ground scale factor which gets a bit too complicated for a typical novice.
