Messed up on the scale some for the curb.  That's what I get though for eye-balling my objects while modeling instead of using CAD measurements from drawings.

That is good topology, airflamesred.  I'm working on a head now that has nearly identical edge loops.  I just need to find the perfect face to apply it to though (looking for a female).

I'm gonna press on with hair and see if that brings it together. The lack of usefull, decent references is making it hard

I got bored this morning, and upon noticing all the zombie stuff available.... Where's the friggin' "Ray Gun"?

So here's about an hour and a half into it. I still have a few more details and then UV mapping & texturing.

Some great looking models and scenes Shawn! The first one seems like an alternate timeline with the high-tech Nazi super "blimp" and Albert Speeresque monumental structures. I think the mining structure scene looks terrific as well. I'm going to have to check out FotoSketch 2.10. It seems to add a realistic aged photo type of grit to your renders.

That's funny...

Now what I'm working on lately... An aerobatic aircraft. This isn't too bad for 5.5 hours in is it? (Tweaking verts around takes longer than it seems.) This one is actually for a client, so hopefully it pays well.

If possible, yes. Always smooths better that way.

Final product may have a tris version though, client would like to have the model in X-plane in addition to presentation renders. Thing is, I'm not sure if I can figure out Blender well enough for that. (Blender does look like it's improved since I last tried it though, anyone know if there's a Mirai interface mode plugin in addition to default and Maya?) Of course that's another topic in itself.

Soliciting votes is a no-no, and will get you disqualified from any contest.

That was a pretty big risk there.

But yeah, I clicked on it, it was just a vote solicitation. I always run my web-browser in Sandboxie, so I can click freely without worries. Not trying to 'pimp' the program, but it's literally a life-saver.

Nice work on the piano. You modeling all the strings as well? that would really set off the top views.

Right now, I'm working on a weapons pack, most likely all chained(or flexible) weapons with Easy Pose dials.

Here's the whip sword I've been working on, just need to finish up the textures.

Whats the history behind that?

Well, I'm a big anime fan, and wanted to make a flexible sword like Abarai Renji's, just with my own twist.

My 1st attempt came out like the ivy sword from Soul Blazer (I didn't know til someone told me) and anyways, I liked this version better.

unbroken-fighter ( ) posted Mon, 29 August 2011 at 11:52 PM

yes i will be modeling the strings, the actions, and the tone ring as well

the keys are individual parts so that some ambitious user can rig it to use

for the sword i think that the 2nd version is killer and i can see it working for more than just animae

Excellent

Hey, so I have a question for you guys and gals that may use Poser - For a default position, do you prefer a female model to have her feet flat on the ground or raised up as if wearing heels?

airflamesred ( ) posted Thu, 06 October 2011 at 2:13 PM

Flat I would gues Teyon. I don't use poser but heels increase the size of the calf muscles and the spine curvature. I do prefer the A pose to the T though.

dzfire1102 ( ) posted Thu, 06 October 2011 at 2:22 PM

For rigging, flat is easier but for texturing, curved to keep the texture for streching.
