Subject: Selections in Poser

Is there any way to turn off the red outline of the selected body part in Poser? It makes posing the facial expressions quite annoying. Thanks in advance. Poser 9

The selected part gets highlighted.
But you can change the color of the highlight using the button on the lower right side corner.

Hi Chud, I had this problem a while back and it drove me mad, see the thread below and see if the suggestions work for you, they didnt for me but have another poser version now that doesnt do it, http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?message_id=3781059&ebot_calc_page#message_3781059

From memory, the "HILITE_BODY_PART" line in the "Poser.ini" file controls this. Try setting its value to zero. Poser should not be running when you edit the ini file, otherwise the change will not stick.

Lully & Les, it seems there is no Poser.ini file in P9. If ther is, I couldn't seem to find it.

The Poser.ini for Poser 9 is probably in "%AppData%Poser9" on Windows.

i dont know about macs but googled this page

a bit further down the page it states this

 Poser stores files containing preference information in the user’s home directory on the system drive. This preference information includes: Memory dots, Library preferences, Poser UI preferences, and the Poser.ini file. On Windows, these preference files are stored in the following location: :Documents and SettingsApplication DataPoser. On Macintosh OS X, they are stored in the following location: /Users//Library/Preferences/Poser/.

Windows has a file search utiliy built into Windows Explorer where you can just enter the search string "poser.ini" to search for the location of the file. I'm sure that Mac will have something similar.

The file there is called "Poser Prefs" and should live in a folder structure named after your Poser version in User directory/Library/Preferences.
