Sorry about this - I've been working on UVMapper Pro and haven't had the time to update the Mac version for a little while. I hope to get UVMapper Pro Windows out next month and then work on porting it to the Mac. While I'm doing that I'm hoping to get the Mac version of UVMapper to the same point as the Windows version. I'm just about done two other projects (for my real job) and expect to have a bit of time to work on UVMapper & UVMapper Pro soon. Thanks for your patience, Steve
Me too, me too! If there will be a number of months between the two versions, can we buy the PC version to run on VirtualPC (need a beta tester for that?) and move over to the Mac version when it is released??? Guess that could be a bookkeeping nightmare - but might keep us Mac types from harrassing you for our version!
Steve, thanks for your work on the invaluable UVMapper app. The Mac version apparently freezes on "split vertices" export because it is calculating a new obj which quickly approaches 128 MB (or more) in size, thus taking over the RAM. the work-around, as mentioned by Lynn J., is to import with "weld vertices" unchecked, especially if UV co-ords are modified in some other software, like carrara.
Geekholder - thanks =) gryffnn - I've always appreciated it when companies ship both version (Mac/Win) of a program together. I'm thinking about a way to allow those who buy one version to use the other as well... When I update my site I'll try to include information about how this will work. Miss Nancy - thanks for the kind words, and the helpful tips. I hope to be able to look into this soon. On a side note I just upgraded my iBook to 160M ram, have a 20Gig hard drive ready to install (wish me luck!) and OS 9.1/X for when everything else has been done. Yee-ha! Steve
Steve: I'd be lost without UV mapper and I'm on a Mac. However the only way I've found to prevent it from crashing my computer is to restart with extensions disabled then launch UV Mapper, or drag and drop as you wish. Because it's an app, it runs smooth as silk with only the base OS extensions loaded. Looking forward to a Mac update...

When i use the "split vertices" in UV mapper 0.29 function on my macintosh OS 9.1 it crashes computer when I try to export model. Also after I do the function shouldn't the amout of vertices displayed at the top change? I have messed with this for some time now but it didnt used to crash computer. Before it just really had no effect after importing into poser. I had "weld vertices" unchecked. The PC version of uv mapper works fine though. Wish mac version worked right to save me time.
