Have an idea for a MarketPlace product? Would you like to let the MarketPlace Merchants know?
This is the place!
Make sure you check The Product Showcase Forum and The Product Showcase Art Gallery.
Quote - Some say "tested on a PC" some say "Not tested on a Mac" I have accidentaly bought some items without checking and some work on a Mac and some don't. I wish people would be more specific and just say "PC ONLY" or "Won't work on a Mac" or "PC and Mac compatible." It would make my life a lot easier.
Looks like you'll be asking alot of vendors if their product works with a Mac. When in doubt email and ask the vendor.
I make stuff on a PC. I dont have a mac to test on. This would be something for the store testing to do since they could clearly state what system the product works with. Same with Poser - Daz studio. My system wont run studio 4 so I cant test. I say this product works on windows xp and Poser 7 and thats all I can claim. It should work with Studio and should work on a Mac but I cant test unless I find a beta tester with a mac.
I dont know of any stores who do that type of testing though.
apart from some python scripts what doesnt work on a mac ?

markschum is right - most vendors that use a pc don't have an additional Mac to test their things. So they have to say "not tested on Mac". Some years ago I went and wrote "PC only". I was flooded with site messages asking why my products shouldn't work on a Mac - and out of the said reasons I was not able to answer the question. So I began to say "not tested", most of all because I was not able to give any support (I do not even know if all the keys are named the same).
Macintosh computers are extremely expensive (in other words: overprized) where I live. So: No chance to get one.
Meanwhile I found a user and customer who is not only willing to test my things on a Mac but to give support as well if questions raise up. But that is not an option for anyone. You have to know a person for a while to be sure that he/she is able and willing to support your products any time just for getting them for free - and of course you need an advanced user of the 3d-app you create for.
I'm not always right, but my mistakes are more interesting!
And I am not strange, I am Limited Edition!
