Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 7:06 am)
I dont know about duplicating the bones themselves, but the dup/mirror zones is very handy.
If you say yes it will copy the falloff zones from one side to the other. I always use it, so I can set up one side of the body, then copy the zones over to reduce the amount of work.

You need to create a duplicate string of bones for each side. You can do this in the setup room or in the Phi file setup. If the bones are named in the proper way, (rHand, lHand, rIndex1, lIndex1 and so on) and if the hierarchy matches, you only have to place the bones precisely on one side. If you've carefully placed the bones for the right side and go to Figure/Symmetry/Right to Left, the bones on the left side will take their proper position. There is no "duplicate with symmetry" when creating Poser bone chains.
You should probably click yes when asked to copy the zones, since symmetry is what you are going for.

i don't know if it's staring me in the face and i'm just too weary/bleary to see it.
when you set hands bones or whole arm actually,
how do you dup/mirror bones to the other arm / hand?
when you use the right arm to left arm symmetry, and it asks about the zones,
I always click no, but is that what i should be doing?
