So what's the deal with Renderosity handing over email addresses to RPublishing so they can send newsletters ?
Would have been nice to be asked first if I wanted it.

I hope you aren't going to be extending this to other vendors (definitely naughty letting your own offshoot have them in the first place).

I think I agree with this also. Not until I read this had I realized RPublishing is actually just another vendor.

You should know by now, they do what they want, when they want and how they want, your views count for nothing..

Quote - ... RPublishing is actually just another vendor.

That's not the case, RPublishing is Renderosity's subsiduary for buying content from those artists who don't want to broker.
It has the same office address, is hosted by Bondware, and is run by someone who is a Renderosity admin. So it's pretty clear how they came by special access to Renderosity's customer info.

RPublishing is Renderosity's Publishing section.  Meaning, it's not one vendor, but it is basically the store staff, who have been the same staff who send you your newsletter year after year.  It's just moved to a new sending email address.

Site Admin Online Now!

JenX summed it up pretty well.

As a sister division, RPublishing was provided with a one-time email list of members who have have purchased, favored, or have a related product in their wishlist.  RPublishing created a website (rpublishing.com) as a place to provide more detailed artist backgrounds and product information for folks that want it.

Frankly, RPublishing would rather not send communications to anyone that is not interested in new artist announcements, product launches or special deals.  To stop all future communications from RPublishing, you need only click the unsubscribe link in the email one time or send email to info@rpublishing.com with subject line of DELETE.

Just so long as you're clear that you need to get permission before letting a spin-off slurp a list of emails.
