paganeagle2001,

I seem to have run into a problems with your Antonia Fairywings. The cr2 seems to load OK, but there is no visible geometry to be found anywhere. I have tried looking from the front, back, and side, with Wireframe view, but I just can't see any wings. Poser must be finding the obj file, because if did did not, it would throw up a file not found error, and it's not doing that.

I tried importing the obj file, and that seems to work just fine. It comes in in the center of the scene. I have had a look inside the cr2, and can't see anything obviously wrong. The obj file also seems OK, so I'm at a loss to know why its not working for me.

I tried putting the Antonia chest geometry into the AntoniaFairywings.cr2, and it loaded Antonia's chest OK. Then I tried the other way round, putting the AntoniaFairywings geometry into the Antonia-1.2.cr2. That did not work. This has me mystified, because i can't see anything obviously wrong. Has anyone else experienced problems with the wings?

P.S.
I have been working on a set of butterfly wings for Antonia, but experiencing some setbacks (see here for details).

We need to have an Antonia-WM contest right after one of the developers leans over and kisses Sleeping Beauty and wakes her to the masses. Rules are nobody on the development team can play, but they will be the judges. Within 30 days of Antonia-WM waking up, the best AWMNITWAS render posted both to this forum and the users gallery wins! 🤤

I think it breaks the TOS (none approved contests where there is a monetary prize), but I would be willing to contribute to a Rendo gift certificate if somebody can get it approved. If not, then the winner and the runner-ups would go down in the Poser history books and be remembered until (if and when) this thread falls off the front page!

The right mesh and rig makes a world of difference in any application. I am just a parttime hobbiest, but I am able to load Antonia, and pose her, and acheive a natural pose without hours of tweaking. That just isn't possible with many figures.

I cannot wait for Afrodite-Ohki's Advanced Morphs, but I will have to.

hey, guys this is my first post and I've been following this thread and others for a little over a month now and have been exploring Antonia, posing her, rendering her. And I found her to be exceptionally well made and very versitile.

I downloaded version 2.0 Ibelieve and have been playing around with her and the poses and morphs available at her website. What struck me was her almost photo real appearance and pose ability.

What I didn't like was her inability to smile correctly so my task was for her to have that cover girl smile that would light up her face and give her that seductive look, without having to change her face. I found the answer. Her teeth are to small and set farther back in her mouth making her look older and not as attractive as say: Victoria.

I scaled up her upper teeth by 5%(105.) and the lower by 3%(103.) and it set them right to the back of her lips just touching.  you have to open the jaw slightly to fix her slight over bite but when you start dialing  up facial expressions you can see a clear and improved appearance to her overall features. I've post an images to demonstrate.

Rogerbee1 ( ) posted Mon, 14 November 2011 at 12:30 PM

Pretty nice,

Her eyes look a little scary though. I'm waiting for both Afrodite's morphs and the WM version before I really get to work.

I could be being a bit dense here, but will those morphs work for both the Standard and WM versions?

They will, indeed, as well as Antonia 1.2 and 1.0.  There will be full morph compatibility between all of these, as well as any earlier versions where the geometry was the same.

I usually make the translation dials for the teeth visible, on my private-use copies of Antonia.  Being able to adjust position and scale can be useful   Haven't found any use for rotating the upper teeth yet, but that could end up being useful, too.

 IMPORTANT

People where not able to upload things to the Antonia site during a while because there was a major technical site update.
Leo changed the following things:

You are not able any longer to upload two files at once. Instead you will find a how-to about adding a second file, that has to be uploaded by editing. This way we will avoid annoying sever-hickups in the future.

There are new departments for basic figures (the things that are already there will be matched to them as far as possible, please drop me or Leo a PM and we change things as desired):
Stand Alone - this is where Antonia WM will go and Antonia Standard belongs to
Antonia WM - for things that work solely with Antonia WM
Antonia 1.2 and Antonia Standard - for the rest of it. I think that people will get used to the fact that what works with Antonia Standard will work with Antonia WM as well. Otherwise we'll have to add a note about this.

Then there is a section called "Developmental Period": It's made for all things that work with older versions. We think that we should keep them, as more as the A-mapping has the one or other fan who prefers it over the standard mapping.

The most important change: The store-link section (the one for commercial items) - Please use it!!! There are more commercial items available then the site lists. As they are spread over several stores customers have a hard time to find them. This is not only good advertising for Antonia but for the merchants as well!!

As far as I know every person who uses the internet is allowed to create links to stores, so if you find something: Add it! The creator may be thankful.

The departments in the Store section now show which department is filled with links and which not, this is less annoying then clicking through many empty sites.

We are now running a backup from time to time (in other words: In the unprofessional way and as long as our harddrive offers some space). So it should be possible to restore things if something happens (Please! Not!).

And please do not forget that there is a gallery section (since months): Use it! - Spread the word! :D (and this goes to my adress as well... ahem!).

And a last plea by Leo: If something doesn't work on the Antonia site or if you have an idea what's missing - send a PM, tell him or me. We can't think about everything and most of all not of every technical problem that may arise.

And Leo told me to end with

Lots of Love

Uncle Leo!

In Antonia 1.2 and 1.0, there will be some empty/odd morph groups - these are placeholders for the morphs included with Antonia Standard. They are nothing more than an extra text in your Properties window though, Morphs and Antonia will work as usual.

And... version 1.0 would require actor renaming, to make it work.

Sorry, I shouldn't have mentioned 1.2 or 1.0.  That just confuses matters.   In terms of the geometry, there should be full compatibility.  In terms of any injection methods for the poses, there may be incompatibilities.  😊

May I post a seperate announcement thread about Antonia Polygon ~ Standard edition for those who might have missed or skipped over the news? I won't give links if that is a problem.

Rose2000,

Did you discover what the problem was? I searched high and low for the cause but could not find it. I figured that if I built a whole new cr2 for the wings from scratch, it would have to work. Since I can import the obj, the problem had to be in the cr2, and there is no logically possible way that a new cr2 would not fix the problem.

However, in spite of the logical impossibility of this method not working, the new cr2 did not solve the problem. So much for logic, absolutely useless stuff, I will never use it again! 😠

The next thing I tried was loading the cr2, then importing the obj, then using 'Replace Body Part with Prop'. This did work! 😄

So I then saved the figure to disk. I moved the resulting new obj to the correct place in the Geometries folder, edited the cr2 to reflect the obj location, and did a bit more tidying up in the cr2 (Shldrs and ForeArms removed). The result seems to be working fine, including the morphs, ERC.

However it still annoys me that I can't find the cause of the problem. So if you discovered the cause, please let me know.

Just a little note ..

I forgot to add in the readme when parenting or scaling the wings its best to select the body, That way you can position them exactly where you want :)

The scale morph will only take them so far, so if you want them larger use the program scale also  :)
