Just wanted to give a heads-up and a warning that someone has managed to start sending stuff using one of my email addies from swbell.net.

I just received and email on another account from (myself?) the address and it has CC to a lot of Renderosity folks.

If you get the email, deleted it. It has nothing but a link and you don't want to click that!

Stupid people hacking our accounts for this stuff...grrrr!

I just had the same thing happen with my Juno account. Juno closed it right away when they saw what was going on, and I've reopened a different email account with them.  Pretty childlish thing the hackers are doing.

Merry Christmas you've been hacked! I don't understand!!! Why not just apply at Microsoft and be done with it!

It is really a bit aggravating as this email address is used various places.

And AT&T is look swbell (who they ate up) and won't do much about it...sigh.

Why it's being sent by CC to folks her eis a puzzle, I don't use it here.

Dear BluEcho,

I wasn't meaning to imply I did not sympthize, quite the opposite! I just had 2 of my accounts hacked a few months back and lost so much important info!

I really am sorry this happened to you. :(

Oooo I hate that mess..I had to completely delete an entire address book and close one of my Yahoo accounts because someone hacked it and started sending viruses thru it, which meant I had to personally send from another email to all those people and tell them to block the addy...

My daughter told me last night that it has happe3ned to her, she had to change her password on her account.

I'll do that today and then check and see where the account is listed so I can change it to another one. then i'll just close it...sigh.

Hey BluEcho, you are lucky they changed my password and my secret question, so I can't even access it anymore! That means lots of very important correspondences just lost! I found out when they tried to hack my DA account! *sigh

People are really nasty sometimes....

Well I did manage to chaneg the password on this account but I can't access the main account to change it.

I'll deal with it tomorrow and get it deleted...sigh.
