Subject: Best budget DSLR for a beginner?

Hello folks.

 

This is my first question I've posted in any of the Renderosity forums, so I hope my question is not too boring.

 

I am interested in learing how to make HDRI's for 3D graphics applications, and do not have much photography experience. I have a basic idea about things such as f-stop and exposure time, but not much more than that.

 

After some searching, I found this camera appears to be a good choice.

 

It's a bit out of my budget though, so was wondering if anyone could recommend something of similiar quality which would be less expensive.

also have a look at the sony nex series.  with the right adaptor that can take most sony/minolta lenses.
