Subject: Very strange!

You know the problem some of us keep having with the Poser library thumbnails? With the square box? I was never able to get the nice thumbnails with the transparent background. Never. I tried everything. And now, all of a sudden, my Poser did it. I haven't changed a thing. All I did was load my Vicki 2, load a couple of morphs in her head and save her in the character library... and what do I see? A neat thumbnail with a transparent background. Isn't that really weird??? How did that happen???

eowyn, what do you mean by "transparent background"? hair with transmaps and like?

Eowyn ( ) posted Mon, 27 August 2001 at 9:19 AM

No no no... I mean thumbnails that look like the default Poser 4 thumbnails. They don't have that annoying square around them - only the figure and the figure's shadow. Until this day my thumbnails were always those squares with an annoying gray background and stuff.

I hope you figure out how you did that...I'd like to know myself...:>) what's 32bit Desktop?

Mazak, I tried that. It didn't have any effect on the thumbnails whatsoever. Today things just were... different. I have no idea how that happened. shrug

I had the problem once. I changed the Windows color depth from 16Bit to 32Bit, and the problem was gone. I am sorry it does not operate for you. The problem has PoserPro not. Mazak

In Propak I just do a render at 91x91 pixels and save it as a PNG in the right directory. This is also a good way to see transmapped items, instead of the dots.
