Oh wow! Thank you, everybody! What a fabulous start to the new year.
I'm thrilled to have been chosen for this honor! There were so many wonderful photographers in the running, I'm surprised it came down to just two.
Thank you all so much for your support, not only in the voting, but throughout the year.
I'm coming up on my fifth anniversary and my 1800th upload in a couple days, and it's a joy to come up on those milestones knowing my fellow artists are enjoying what I've been doing.
What a rush! Whoo-hoooo!!!

Oooh. This ROCKS! And it's so well deserved...I mean, really, frakkin-seriously well deserved. And now this means that I'm getting all nice and ready for all of the cool stuff you're gonna be putting up in 2012! Congratulations and big ol' hugs from Chicago. And, as He Who is Russian would say: This is enough good. I'm gonna go open something nice to drink and raise a toast to you now. Uh...all I have is Dr. Pepper. I hope that's good enough.
Hugs Hon. And I am the lucky guy who gets to go on lots of future photo shoots with the Photo Gallery's Photographer of the Year in 2012:-)
PK...you have done a beautiful collage of twelve very representative images from tk's gallery...we are doing a kitchen wall with photo prints from each of our galleries...we have chosen some of the same ones you have chosen...great minds on the same track. LOL.

Thank you all for voting. This was an amazing contest and it had me on the edge of my seat during the voting.
Every nominee was a winner in my eyes, having received honor in Last Week in the Gallery many times over the year. As the deadline for voting got close, we had a tie that went back and forth putting one ahead and then the other.
In the end, one artist pulled ahead by one vote and so...
DRUM ROLL, PLEASE!
A well deserved choice!
Congratulations!
