Subject: Snow on roof

Is there anyway I can get snow on the roof of my house, castle models without painting it in photoshop? Thank you!

There were a few tutorials around that showed how to model snow in VUE on top of objects.  I remember seeing how to put snow onto trees, buildings, even how to make footprints.  I think some of these were on Gita's web page when it was up.

Do a search because they are around.  Post the links if you find some good ones.

For a thick snow layer, Wabe found a great trick: create a cube, resize it so it looks like a rectangle and not a square, then save it as a vob. Then populate your rooftop with an ecosystem made of this cube. Use the ecosystem selector to select all the cubes, then choose Convert to objects.

Next select all the cube objects (they should be selected anyway), and choose to create a metablob with all the cubes. Should make for a nice thick sknow layer covering your roof.

Again, this was discovered by Wabe the Great (a species on the verge of extinction, so please don't feed nor harm the Wabe!)!
