Hi all,

I ran across this comic that featured a heroine with fascinating foot morphs....and skin. It looks like she is a V4 figure as the series was started in 2010. Would anybody know what those amazing morphs are, as they add a complexity and realism to the foot which is incredible. I don't think it is photoshopped as the same morph appears all throughout the strip.

I'd love to know which artist creates such amazing skins, too. Kudos.

TY all!

Anastasia's feet will do this! :)

Vestmann ( ) posted Wed, 04 January 2012 at 8:18 AM

I think everything except the head is a photograph.  It's just photomanipulation and pretty good one at that.

Hmm, so you think it might be the Anastasia figure--unfortunately I only have P7 so I wouldn't be able to tell. Is it absolutely pre-requisite to have P9 to get the Anastasia figure? The only thing that perplexes me is that this series was started back in 2010, way before she was developed. I agree there might be photographic manipulation, but take a look at these shots:

Ahh, those are nice little piggies :)  I don't know if V4 can do this but I know those ropes are made for V4.

I don't think basicwiz meant it was Anastasia but rather that Anastasia's feet and toes have been so well-sculpted that they can look as realistic.   Otherwise the first image is definitely photo-manip.   The second one does look more 3D and you can see her legs are not the same as in the first.   Sometimes artists choose to clone in various details from photos so the base may be 3D but with cloning over it.

In any case, if you'd like to make V4's feet more realistic I'd suggest you pick up these toe and feet morphs:

This set by Fabiana also has some nice leg morphs as well:

Yes, if it is a V4 figure, I am taken aback by the complexity and beauty of the ankle area, and rippling veins in her feet. I don't know where this guy got this skin, but I'd sure love to know who does such amazing skins for feet....do you think the feet morphs would be a sculpt of some kind?

pacanne ( ) posted Wed, 04 January 2012 at 11:02 AM

Thanks, Kalypso,

I am new to this and am a bit mystified by the whole cloning and photoshopping aspect of 3D art. In the first image of the girl sitting, the fusion seems seamless, and you see the same spread out toe shape in the other shots where there is perhaps less postwork. I never saw V4 toes spread out like that, and a skin that had such detail of veins and muscles around the ankle area. Many thanks for the links and I'll take a look!

I can tell that's definitely V4's feet, at least partially.  They're excessively long, excessively thin for how huge they are, they have her ankle/foot behavior at the heel and (as seen in the left leg) in front, and her kind of bizarrely flat and extreme toe bend, as well as that excessively flat front that makes a triangle shadow (as seen on the right foot).  Both feet and her left shin have V4's very distinctive shape.  Which isn't to say photos aren't involved, but it definitely has a lot of V4's features.  And the skirt seems to be defying gravity- it's round around the legs rather than falling against the chair.  Her hands have V4's distinctive shape, and the bikini top doesn't seem to be shading like real lycra at all.  The torso is twisted kind of oddly, and seems to be a tad more distorted than a real person's body would be.  Her shoulders and arms looke pretty undefined and rounded for the size of their muscles like V4's, with V4's proportions in the shoulders.  It's amazing and excellent work, and I'm definitely not saying photos or postwork weren't involved.  I am immensely impressed by the artist.  But I can see a whole lot of V4 specifically and 3d in general involved with the figure.  Is it possible to contact the artist?

Oh, and here's another foot morph foor V4, though it's not free:

Found the artist here, he does do a lot with Photoshop: artdude41's gallery.  And this is an earlier version of the image: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=215647.  According to one post, he uses Poser Pro, 3DS Max and Photoshop.

pacanne ( ) posted Wed, 04 January 2012 at 6:14 PM

Thanks kobaltkween,

Yeah it is impressive work. I want those toes! The skin is awsome, too. I found the comic on renderotica. Just do a search on the Perils of Carey on their site. I don't know who the artist is, but it should be listed someplace. So you wouldn't know if it is a morph or something else?

pacanne ( ) posted Wed, 04 January 2012 at 6:22 PM

Ah, didn't realize he was here on Renderosity. The question is, are those real feet or 3D feet. In any case, kudos:)

rokket ( ) posted Wed, 04 January 2012 at 6:38 PM

I think it's both. A lot of the scene looks like it's a real photograph with the model photoshopped in. And the skin texture can be painted on just like doing a texture map: cut and paste.

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

pacanne ( ) posted Wed, 04 January 2012 at 8:01 PM

Wow ok....so the final verdict is that this foot morph does not exist then? I did try the foot morphs you guys have sent me (many thanks to you all), but none has that toe spread and curl, which seems to still evade me. I saw M4 has a toe spread in the freebie area (which I haven't tried yet), but it seems there isn't one for V4. If it isn't a morph, what could he be using to get that same foot in numerous shots and poses? A conundrum indeed :)

"...but none has that toe spread and curl, which seems to still evade me."

Alyson 2's toes are all individually articulated.

Get yourself a free modeller like Wings3D and you can easily make all the toe morphs you'd ever want.

These took less than an hour from start to finish for my reworked 3rd Gen DAZ based figures.

BTW, while rigged toes at the first moment seem to be technically more advanced, I rather prefer morphs. (Same with rigged tounges and teeth)

Because once you start to reshape a figure from the ground up, you're gratefull for every joint you don't have to re-rig.  :-)

Other side.

pacanne ( ) posted Thu, 05 January 2012 at 10:20 AM

Wow, those are awsome toes! I just don't have the expertise to go into a modelling program to start playing around with V4's joints, vertices, polygons, etc....I would prefer to defer that kind of tinkering to expert folks like you. Would you consider making that morph available on the site here?

Something like this ?

I sent you a SiteMail.

Yes, that is a very cool morph :)

I am hugely disappointed with this thread.  I was hoping to see boobies at the very least, what with a nudity advisory and that but all we get are sodding feet.  Weirdoes.

The original post looks like Jennifer Connelly's face to me, and perhaps even her hair. I personally think fygomatic is the undisputed master of these type of images. Although sadly he has posted nothing new in ages.

OK, from the skirt belt down she's real. Above that, she's rendered, except for the hands.

Hey all,

I just wanted to show you a quick image of my model with all the awsome morphs you provided:) She has some pretty cool feet for a V4, I have to say....a good starting point at least.. Thanks all!

Huge improvement over default Vicki feet!  Nice work pacanne!

pacanne ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2012 at 2:12 AM

Thanks! I am no wizard of photoshop so I have to do what I can with the 3D models available. All the input has been most helpful:)

pacanne ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2012 at 2:24 AM

I used the foot and hand morph and the short toes you provided, which worked very nicely. Only that, when used in combination, I needed to use the morph tool to smooth out the joints of the toes as they looked as if V4 had rhumatoid arthritis....after that was done, at last a decent-looking foot appeared. TY again!

WandW ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2012 at 6:31 AM

That is nice! 😄

I hope JP will release those morphs into the wild...
