Subject: How to create wake behind a ship?

Could anyone know how to make a wake/cavitation behind a ship hull to make it looks moving? Thanks

Thought I'd take a shot. Made a v-shape thingie in my favorite drawing program, Matisse. Any program will work. Brought it into the lattice editor. Stretched it out and positioned it, gave some transparency. The reason why it doens't have ripples is because the ripple texture is bump heigh rather than a mesh with ripples in the water. If you put your ship in a lattice water, the wake will have ripples. (make sense?). Ok, just a thought.

Thanks for the tips, I tried to create one and here I post the result :) The wake is more visible when using bright sunlight :)
