Have your figures library up. Add a folder for your figure (small + ). Open that folder. Add your figure to the library (large + - "add to library")

try saving to Library not under Menu File Save

Before you save it go to "Window" "Joint Editor" and click the "Zero Rotations" button at the bottom. The name of the button may be different on different versions of Poser, but you will find it.
