Could someone link me to any sites that have Freeware/Shareware clothing, shoes, hair, etc for the Poser 7 and Poser 8 characters?  (Simon, Sydney, Alyson, Ryan)

That is a good start, however you will not find as much content you may be expecting.  They are that well supported at the moment.

Addlitionally, dynamic clothing for V3 and V4 also work with all Poser figures and they can be found here in the freebie section...Jan

There is a quicksuit for the G2 females at Morphography. You can use that as a starting point for making clothing.

Not quite free because it is a subscription site, but Poserworld is your best source for clothing for the Poser 7 characters.

There are two free outfits by Ravenhair at Content Paradise.

Check out PhilC's site, he has some stuff for Alyson.
