Hi all, This is my first message on the forum, and it's just to tell everyone that I have uploaded my first gallery picture > http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=81215 Any comments gratefully received. Niggie ( I originally offered to email the truck .vob to anyone who wanted it, but as it is 1.7MB when zipped, I'm afraid that it's just not a viable way of doing it. I will try and work out a simple website to upload it to instead )

Not bad at all, Niggie; I posted comments in the gallery. One additional point - you mention that the truck model came from 3D Cafe, so anyone who would like a copy of it can venture over to www.3dcafe.com and download it themselves. (Likely in the Free Models section for vehicles, I'm assuming.) To distribute a model, you would need to be the maker/owner of it, or at least have the right to distribute given to you by the maker. And yeah, that still applies even if you've convert the model to a different format. Nice thing about it being at 3D Cafe, is that anyone can get it from there. It's a very nice model, and you built a cool image with it. :)

Thanks for the tips and comments Varian, I hadn't thought of the "copyright" issue of redistributing the model. When I tweak the scene a bit further, I'll post the results. Niggie

Nice job! You textured the truck yourself in Vue? And the smoke from the exhaust and dust kicked up from the tires, is that post work?

Thanks Jackson, In answer to your questions, yes the truck was textured from within Vue. Some of the textures are stock (chrome etc.) but there are a few of my own too. The only post work on the picture is some motion blur on the Cab and trailer, and a small bit of Gaussian Blur on the two exhaust plumes. The plumes only needed a tiny bit of adjustment as I set the material size too big for them, and couldn't be bothered to re render it all again... so I "cheated" :) .The dust and tyre smoke is untouched by PSP.
