Sorry for the title, but how can I name it better?

My problem is this. I try to rig a pair of boots. Everything works fine so far but in the end I have one bone I can not make go away. Ironically it looks somewhat ... er ... private.

Please have a look at the screenshot.

Can anyone tell me how to rig my boots without all the other bones and specially without this mentioned bone?

Thank you very much

So your problem is a real boner?

I think that girl needs to shave here belly as well!

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

From the looks of it, your boots use a hip (or body) bone as a common parent. You cannot easily get rid of it without making major changes to your rig. You should be able to change its endpoint in such a way that is inside the wearer's body though, so that it is not in the way in the preview (but do not change the orientation).

Another possibility would be to rig each boot as one separate object (left and right), in which case you would not need a common parent (at least if your boots are not too high, otherwise you might need a hip anyway for bending).

^ Not quite as funny, but probably more helpful.

Its the bodyMorphs.

You need to delete it before exiting the set up room.

In the set up room open the hierarchy window, scroll down and select bodyMorphs then hit the delete key on the keyboard.

If you leave the set up room with it still in place the bone geometry gets added to a group called "NO_BONE" which you may be able to remove in your modeling program.

So best to delete it first.

Hope that helps.

Or use the blank cr2 for rigging.

All right friends: problem solved. PhilC is the man! Thank you very much. Deleting the body morph did it.

By the way... the "boner-answer" from Gareee was my favorite :-)

And it is M4 - so much for shaving the belly
