An .m3d file is a Materialize3D file. That program I believe is offered by Indotek.

if u ask for model format fm honey's software(in link of ISO's neo japan DL page, can find many old japan style furnitures in his DL page. but they are all in *.m3d format). it's one of japanese house design prog called "my home designer". like other simulation prog, it can let u place some housing staff in visual plane then walk around like vrml. not yet to find any third party prog to read tis format, it looks like acsII format n joint w/bmp thumbnail header (even u can rename it to *.bmp then open it in windows paintbrush). any one fm japan who know this prog & know how to convent them to known model format(like 3ds or dxf), pls help.

Wow, you guys are good. Actually I got these files from ISO's neo japan DL page, Jackbox. And I used to have the "My Home Designer" program somewhere (English version, but not sure it's the same one you're talking about). I'll have to dig it up and see if it will let me load the files. As I recall there was no export function in that program, so I don't know if it can be converted to another format or not. Thanks for the info! Doc
