Subject: Michael 3 SR1 and SR2??

heyas;

 

   so i was browsing for skins for M3 in the store... see some cool stuff... but one says it requires m3-sr1 and one needs m3-sr2.  did m3 have srs???  how do i know if i have the srs and which one(s)???  i bought m3 when he came out... like... how many years ago?  what do the sr's do, anyway??  i mean, that make m3 different.  or incompatible with things?

 

gawd, does anyone even remember?  do i have to ask at daz?

Yep, M3 had those.  Without 'em he ended up with a withered leg and arm after applying muscle morphs.  Can't remember what the other one was for, though.  No incompatibility problems; they were simply bug fixes.

   i have a bunch of m3 characters, i don't think i'll try applying any of those unless they blow up.  :X

I don't think the SR's changed his UV mapping in any way, just his rigging and morphs.

As I recall, SR1 changed the grouping - that's why the left arm fails to morph if you use the old morphs with the updated Michael or vice versa. I think SR2 added some changes that were needed for one of the morph expansions.
