Subject: Right Camera - Is this me, or PP2012 ?

Is this me, or PP2012 ?

A couple of weeks ago I installed Poser Pro 2012 (with SR1). Tonight I was using the 'Right Camera'. That camera is supposed to be an orthogonal camera, with POV at infinity. Well it is neither of those things in my installation, though the 'Left Camera' is as it should be.

I'm wondering if this is a bug in PP2012, or if something I have done inadvertently has wrecked the camera. Could someone with Poser Pro 2012 SR1 please check the Right Camera? If the Track Ball in the Camera Controls is not greyed out when the Right Camera is selected, then there is a problem with PP2012, if it is greyed out, then its probably my own personal problem.

All the orthagonal camers on mine are correct, PP2012, SR1

Thanks willyb53. Looks like I goofed things up, can't think how though. Never mind, it should be easy enough to fix.

Did you not accidentally press Orbit Selected Mode?

Mine works as expected, except when Orbit Selected is on :blink:  Is this a bug or a feature?

 

EDIT; It doesn't rotate from the mouse controls, but only with my 3D Connexion 3D mouse...

I think the orbit selected mode works on the active camera. Personally I think Face, Hand and orthogonal camera should be excluded.

This is one of those cases where you would limit the choice for the user if you exclude them. Maybe someone has actually use for an orbit selected front camera?

I actually find it useful for the hand and face cameras, (assuming the hand or head are selected) but it rather defeats the purpose of an Orthogonal camera.  😉  I sent in a bug report...

If you don't use the orbital selected mode, the orthogonal cameras works as they should, so nothing is taken away. Preventing it is taking away something which someone might actually use (not sure for what though)

Think of how much you hate it that in V4 the axis scaling for bodyparts has been made hidden. This was to prevent accidental use of those scale dials. But for someone who knows what they are and do have a use for them (think of fitting), it is a pain to have to load scripts to enable them again.
