Subject: Why I have been absent from Renderosity..TomDart.

TomDart ( ) posted Wed, 04 April 2012 at 9:17 AM · edited Sat, 15 February 2025 at 11:50 PM

The main reason I have not been here has nothing to do with the site or my love of being part of Renderosity...that has not changed.   Frankly, personal work in finding decent employment and/or developing my own business is absorbing most of my creative energy.  I have done several photo sessions of different genres of photography to create a new portfolio and that is coming along pretty well.  This includes studio work using borrowed rooms and my equipment, outdoor human photography and some architectural and industrial work.   My ultimate diredtion is primarily 2  marketable genres and I must prove that well to myself.

In the meantime, I am searching for a paying job with benefits to hold things together.  This is not a good time to start a business and having done it before, I know what is needed and what is too risky for my family at this particular time.

Now you know.  I am not leaving...I am otherwise occupied much of the time.

  God Bless all!  Tom.

May the Lord be with you my friend.

May He open doors for you my friend.

God Bless.

Good luck Tom, I find myself in a similar boat, my new job that I should have started this month has not materialised.

Times are tough all over...understanding where your priorities belong and taking a well thought out chance can make all the difference!

Sounds like you are well on your way already...keep following that dream.
