Using the grouping tool, make a new group, then assign the material area to the new group, then use your magnet. Traveler has a tutorial on using the grouping tool and magnets at MorphWorld. http://morphs.bbay.com/This is one of those questions that makes me wish I were at home, because I know EXACTLY how to do it, but without looking at it while I'm doing it, I can't figure out how to explain it... but wyrwulf is right, it just seems like there's another step somewhere that is missing, and I can't think of what it is...

It's actually real easy to do. 1. Create your material group on the object. 2. Select that object and create a magnet. 3. Finally, double click on the magnet zone and check the GROUP checkbox and select the name of the group from the pulldown menu. Voila. You can also select several groups on one object, or the same group across multiple objects. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. I was wondering if there was a way to have a magnet only affect a material group of an object? I haven;t found a way but I figured you good folk may have :) Thanks in advance! Styxx
