Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 30 6:52 am)
heyas; i do, axe. :) oh, speaking of the default empty vue file... you can tell vue to run with that file loaded. you just add the file path/name to the exe name, after one space. (if i recall correctly. it might be a colon, but im pretty sure its not a semi-colon, that never works.) so one click, and vue pops open with your default scene all ready to go. (now if i could just get it to remember that i want my default render options to be 'preview' to 'main wireframe view' 'only visible layers.')
I think Rich has the way to go for that, and Bloodsong has an awesome further step! Love it! Mike, that addition can't be made to the EXE, but to the shortcut that points to the EXE. And, I think it would be just a comma. And if you keep your starting file in the Vue directory, I don't think a path would be required, just the filename, such as: Target: F:Vue4Vue4.exe,OpenThis.vue If that don't work, try it with a space instead of a comma, or with a colon.

Does anyone know if Vue 4 can be forced to "remember" viewport settings? I'm still happy with good ol' "wireframe" mode for all 3 except for the perspective (camera) vieports, so every time I start a new scene I have to first select "wireframe" from the menu, for those 3. Not a big deal, but, well, when you're lazy, you're lazy, ya know... :P
