Subject: Removing skydome from urban sprawl for use in vue

iborg64 ( ) posted Thu, 19 April 2012 at 12:46 PM · edited Tue, 26 November 2024 at 12:46 PM

i wish to use the DAZ product urban sprawl 2 in vue but when i load the poser file in vue it appears to be inside a large dome I think maybe the sky dome but I can not see how to remove that in poser before saving the scene does any one know if this can be done?

Hi  I am fairly certain that the sky dome  has its own material zone for the fake sky image
perhaps in vue you could assign a material to it and make the material 100 percent transparent with no reflection or specular making the dome invisible.

Thanks for that you were right , and once I found it in vue I was able to go back into poser and find it and remove the skydome when I saved the file

Better yet, if the skydome is one group and the set is a figure, you can make that part invisible, like you can a figures parts. I don't have that set, so I have no idea if it's just props or if it's figures.

It's easy to remove it in vue. Just delete it.

Precisely...lol.

I totally forgot I bought this during it's last sale (Urban Sprawl 2). I'm playing with it now. It totally bogs down my system, but it's really awesome...lol. I deleted the set's skydome right off. I always use BB's Envirosphere.

To correct my above post, it is indeed just props. Find the skydome in the list of props and delete. That's all there is to it.
