Once in a while I look around,

Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

Looks like it has potential - Ridley Scott delivers more often than not & I'm a big fan of the original, groundbreaking Alien. And looks like one worth seeing in the theater to me. A little puzzled by the people in the trailer - some look real & some look CGI?

David 8 - one of the characters - is in fact a robot/artificial person, a forerunner of the science officer on Nostromo and Bishop in Aliens. He does look a little CGI, imo, but is played by Micheal Fassbender.

For my money, ALIEN set the gold standard for all sci-movies that followed. The pan through the ship that ends with the view of the reflection of the activated monitor screen in the emergancy helmet's visor really set the scene and showed us the attention to detail that I think is the halmark of every R.Scott movie.

For those of you who aren't familier with the Alien series, Scott takes us sideways on a journey that will tell the story of the origins of the alien spacecraft that the crew of Nostromo found on LB426 in the original ALIEN movie, and it's pilot, commonly known as the 'Space Jockey'.

Prometheus certainly looks worth watching, I just hope it lives up to expectations.

I agree with Bryster.  The first "Alien" scared the s**t out of me.

Sidebar, someone gave me an eighteen inch tall action figure of the alien.  I set it on top of  my frig' but tied it up with a doggie leash chain just in case. No lie, it gave me the bajibbies.

Willie, I agree. Alien still scares me. What is really horrific as that you never really see the creature until the last scenes in the escape craft when Ripley blows it out into space.

Prometheus is a prequel to the original alien film I think the giant alien they found with alien hole in its chest is in this film. And its been done by the original director ridley scott excellent. I prefer the Predator more though he was brilliant The Xenomorph don't stand much of a chance really they have virtually no technology on their side. I think Aliens was best some of the crew in the original were a bit stupid....
