Library as a separate window (external UI) is a preference option. You are now running the embedded version.
Adding external runtimes (content libraries) is discussed in the reference manual, Chapter 7.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
PP2012 runtime can be merged with the new installation, shouldn't be any problems. My recommendation would be to merge the new installation runtime with the PP2012 first, then move that back. This would be to offset any changes in the new installation which would not be compatible with the old. P7 should be linked as an external runtime.

I just upgraded to windows7 64 bit from Vista 64bit and had to wipe my c drive. Needless to say my PoserPro2012 installation was terminated. I just put it back up on the new system and everything seems to be running okay.
My question - I have both my runtimes from my old Poser 7 and the current PoserPro2012 - they are actually the files from both programs saved by windows in a separate folder when I changed to windows 7. What is the best way to get these runtimes back into my current program so I don't have to reload all my characters, clothes and props?
I noticed that my library doesn't operate like it did in Vista - as a separate window. Now it seems to be a part of the program itself. Sorry for all the questions I'm a newbie to this.
