I installed Linux Zorin for the first time to try something different...anyone using Vue on Linux ?

I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not.

Since Linux has seen support from e-on and have heard good things about it.  I don't have a Linux farm though.

I have sinse tried to install every version of Vue i have from 6 to 10 with no luck...they all refuse to see my graphics drivers...which VERY inpressively Linux found and installed on its own. I am super impressed with Zorin so far...but NOTHING will run on it that i own except for RidgeRacer pc game...but it to is useless because my XBox 360 controller doesent work either LOL   Good with the bad i suppose. I am going to have to find a Linux forum i guess :-)

Ok.  So you're not using Linux render nodes from e-on?

no...nothing from e-on...just my old install disks...tried that WINE thing thats built in to install various programs with no luck

There is no Linux version of the main app, only the RenderCows/Nodes.

Due to the graphics it's quite likely it's not going to work under WINE.

Yes nruddock that is exactly what i got. It installed fine and wouldnt run...it gave me a graphics driver error.

Hi,

I use Linux for more then 5 years now.
I mainly create projects in win7 and the render is done with hypervue with linux & win7.
It runs great and stable. 

(ubuntu 10.10, wine, Vue Infinite 5)
 
Vue Infinite 5 itself runs great in Ubuntu!
