Hello everyone.

Just looking for comments regarding the "Vickers Macine Guns" that I have built ready to be used within a bigger project "Sopwith Camel reconstruction". I did build the model before but lost it due to the old PC dying on me. Now I am constructing the high poly parts seperatly (next is the engine) and then load them into the Sopwith via Carrara etc.

You will note that I have not included the shell routes within these models because when loaded into the sopwith they will be hidden by the shell feed and release chutes (just looking at ways of saving the poly count).

Above you will find a link to the image online via Flickr

All comments are welcome.

Nice work. Really nice. Now it's time to texutre!

benney ( ) posted Sun, 08 April 2012 at 5:24 PM

Thanks guys. I am gonna texture it within carrara but first i'm going to get on with building the engine and aircraft (again) and then everything will be textured and rigged within carrara and then hopefully (if I can afford to) release it all as one big carrara freebie.... fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong again. (must update my flickr page and delete the old sopwith renders).

Thanks again.

I am hoping this will be your project WIP thread so we can see your progress as you go.  I am particularly interested in how you display your reference images and model against them.
