Entry Specifications:

 

  • Image size must be a maximum of 800x800 pixels in .jpeg or .gif format.[72 dpi]
  • Thumbnail Image: MUST be included 100x100pixels in .jpeg or .gif format.
  • Both the Full size image and the thumbnail are required
  • All images must comply with Renderosity's Terms of Service for thumbnails.
  • No Nudity is allowed on thumbnail and full image
  • All entries will remain anonymous. You cannot sign your real name nor Renderosity username on your image or in the description. Any signed images, will not be accepted.
  • Renderosity will be hosting the files.
  • Audio is optional, but desirable. (NOTE: Do NOT use someone else's copyrighted music.)
  • Animation File Size: 10 meg maximum.
  • Animation Time: Entry should not exceed 60 seconds in duration.
  • Animation formats: DivX, .avi, .mpg, .wmv, or standard .mov.

Contest Info & Voting

Contest opens May 1st to May 31st
Voting will begin June 1st through June 7th.
The winners will be selected by the community.

"Far too many rules for proper creativity" ? Either an image or an animation up to 60 secs long and a 10mb limit, and no nudity...I really can't see what that constrains in anyway? Even in the galleries there are limits on size etc, and on subject matter in all honesty.

Check list....

1.Image or animation... pretty pointless submitting an entry without either or.

  1. Audio... Optional..pretty self explanatory that one

  2. Format... pretty standard for hobby artists or media players

  3. Size.. the host site determines the max size of uploads

  4. Duration, immaterial for an image, but if you expect people to vote on something , how many directors cut length versions can they watch without going insane

  5. A Thumbnail.........Well thats it, If i have to produce a thumbnail image I shant enter.....

  6. and finally anonymity...no favouritism...

Dont get me wrong. but TracyBee I cant for the life of me see, one rule that restricts artistic creation, but I'm only an amateur who lives in a poorly lit box :)
