Subject: Can this be done in Poser?

makis12 ( ) posted Sat, 07 April 2012 at 1:37 PM · edited Tue, 26 November 2024 at 1:47 PM

I don t know if this can be done in poser. But if yes i have no idea how,so i would like your help.Imagine that we have two different objects in the same poser screen.Of course you have noticed that when you move one of the two objects, you can pass it through the other.Of course this wouldn t happen in reality between two solid objects.Thats exactly what i would like to do in poser but i have no idea how to.Can you help me?

Thanks

1; What version of Poser are you using....
2; What is your ultimate goal?? Why do you want to achieve that?

I'm not entirely clear on what you are asking, but if you're saying you DON'T want them to pass through each other, you can simply turn on collison detection for both objects.  (Look up collision detection in the manual).  But it's still no clear what you want them to do ... do you want them to bounce off each other ... are you looking for a real-world physical reaction (ala PoserPhysics) or what?

Best,
Tim

Hi Shelly:

Poser Physics is an plugin (or Python Script) really, that enables some physics modelling in Poser.  It's really pretty cool.  However, it does not (yet) work in Poser Pro 2012, and I'm not sure about 2010.  I last used it in Poser 7, but it is sold through Content Paradise, and I think they have a link to the maker's page there wher you can find out the latest news on an update.

Take care,
Tim

Hi there

The 2012 version of PoserPhysics is almost ready.  I've started putting some info together at http://poserphysics.blogspot.com.au.

Thanks you Timoteo1 and face_off for your comments alerting readers to PoserPhysics. I just bought PPro2012 and physics would be a very nice addition to what looks to be a greatly improved Poser, though I have not even installed it yet to find out. Face_off, the message is Blog not found.

There is a facebook page for the new version of PoserPhysics (not sure if I allowed to link or not), so if you "Like" that page, you'll get updates when it's released.
