It has a name???? LOL :tongue1:
I don't usually "chimp", but I have been known to do it when taking photos of people to show them how it came out. I mean , really, isn't that what an LCD screen is for????

Amusing to say the least, but forgive my logic here, wasn't the whole purpose of the digital camera the ability to check images straight of the bat?..a silly term for a logical thing.

Funny Lew. ;'D And yes Ronnie, it is a silly term. But just because it is logical doesn't stop people from giving it a goofy name. ;']

Kinda funny to see a name being attached to what we (all) do. I can still recall in the beginning days when I was tight on available memory, I would take 2 pics of the same wedding scene and get rid of the less good one as I went along. Would that be "chimp picking"...

I chimp alot. Especially if you want the shot correct.  Sometimes I am guilty of putting the camera away without checking the settings and have taken crap shots at another shoot because I didn't chimp.  Chimping gives me more options...of course when I get the correct shot I go apeing.
