Subject: shaving razor for Vicki 4?

curtskinn ( ) posted Sat, 26 May 2012 at 6:05 PM · edited Sun, 26 January 2025 at 2:10 AM

anyone know where I can find a shaving razor for Vicki 4? One that could be used for shaving her legs? Prefereably smart propped and a pose.

Props can be used on any character. Just place in the desiired location on the figure and parent it to the part of the figure.... ie: hand or specific fingers

Here are some free razor props.  I can't help you with the poses though.

My Dad used nothing else!  I found models of the blades for those, but no actual razor.  However, I know as a girl, I wouldn't use one of those on my legs. Too risky for nicks and cuts.

EDIT:
I found the old safety razor at Turbosquid. No free though:

my grandfather used to use one of those ;). I used to twist the bottom as a child just to see the top butterfly open...lol. I didn't have much imagination as a kid....

I remember him emerging from the bathroom, his face a sea of small bits of toilet paper and looking like he'd just been in a cat fight.

On the old DAZ forum, Mec4D was trying to add facial and body hair to Genesis figures importing Zbrush fibermesh in DAZ Studio.

I was following her, interested on real hair, but for Poser and I came across that...

Don't know how it's ended.

Content Advisory! This message contains profanity

Just to be my usual smartass self, is there some other kind of razor, apart from a shaving one?  Apart from Occam's Razor, that is.  Such as a tap dancing razor, or a cat ironing razor, maybe?

I ask because of the title "Shaving razor for Vicki 4?"  :)

Well there was a Motorola mobile called a razor a few years ago, not sure how good it was or if it did indeed double as a razor....well they reckon there is a mobile app for most things these days.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

I had that phone.  It was pretty good, too.  But useless as a razor, which is why I grew a beard at the time.  :)

Well... in my experience (from the pre-Lady Shave / Gillette Venus days) disposable plastic razors were more the order of the day, for leg shaving purposes... LOL ;-)

Like this?

But probably in a kind of cheap orangey-yellow plastic...
