Subject: V4 morph fix products; do they work in Carrara?`

MikeO ( ) posted Thu, 31 May 2012 at 12:24 PM · edited Thu, 30 January 2025 at 4:22 PM

Hello-

There are several products in the Rendo store that purportedly fix V4's joint bending ability.

Has anybody tried them in Carrara and gotten satisfactory results?  Any caveats?

I know some of the script based versions work albeit with a bit of text fiddling with the CR2s, and a free 3rd party app. I can vouch for these.

But, another batch of products which are NOT script based are appearing.  They list DazStudio 3+ as acceptable apps, but no word on Carrara.

Anybody have experience with these?

Thanks!

I purchased 'i13 OVERHAUL for V4 Poser' - it does work in Carrara, but you have to apply the morph channels in Poser, save your new figure, then open in Carrara. For some reason they won't load onto V4 in Carrara directly.

I'm using C8.5P

Thanks 3DL!

Nice to know it can work, with some workaround.

A DAZ version of this very same package, "i13 OVERHAUL for V4 DAZ Studio Version", was posted fairly recently.  I wonder if this would transfer more easily to Carrara.

Or maybe work right out of the box!

ome injections have sintax problem that Carrara cant read... Poser and Daz Studio sometime drop errors in the code and load the file without problem. We had this problem with GND, so we need to run a script done in Word (yes Office) to fix the sintax errors.

Fenric has a fix morph packages utility.

http://forumarchive.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=185755 is a discussion of the fix and link.

There is also a discussion of the morph fix which points to the above thread.

Yes, and now a new morph fix, for Legs, from the same family Fenric's package addressed has appeared in Rendo's store.

I wonder if the same Fenric Fix will apply, or if this one is different.

I'll mozy on over to the Daz forum topic Xerxes mentions and see if there's any new news.

Oops, just noticed it's in the forum archives.
