"Fading Mann's Death" (slightly larger render in my gallery) I have forgotten how fun Poser is. Now applying what I have learned about Bryce and it's lot to Poser, I feel I can do even better work in Poser than I had done before. Of those that have Bryce and Poser, what percentage of use to you think you get out of both? (vs. each other) i.e.; 50%-50%? Agent Smith

For me, it's probably 70% Bryce and 30% Poser. I use Poser strictly as a Pose creator and then import the characters (or props) into Bryce for compositing/rendering as I find I have much better control over lighting, DOF, in Bryce.

I agree with ShadowWind. TMG (nice pic by the way!)

Well, I've only tinkered with Bryce a bit, with the demo. While it's a nice looking program, I couldn't stand how long it takes to render (yes, a real ray-tracer is slow, I know). However, I still have useful input. I recently got an older version of Vue, and I'm now learning and playing with importing Poser stuff into it. I think I'm going to start using it for the main render, except that I'm not happy with it how it renders hair thus far. So, while it's not Bryce, right now I'm setting up the poses, etc in Poser, and then doing the rest in Vue. I suppose if I had the money, I may get one of those beefier programs and give them a shot for rendering as well.

I used to use Bryce 4 with Poser a lot, about 50/50. Then I got Vue 4 and haven't used Bryce since. But it's still about 50/50 with Poser & Vue. Whoopdat: If you get Vue 4, you'll be very happy with the way it renders hair, and with the fact it imports *.pz3 files directly.

Just for info, the Bryce 5 demo has a much slower renderer than the real program...Now that I tweaked the settings, the real one is probably about as fast as 4 (though that is slow from what I understand from those with other programs)...
