Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 28 11:20 am)
If only has a .obj, then that's something you'll have to import. .obj files, for Poser items, normally go in the geometry, but you'll have more than just the .obj (and the template as well). If it was a prop, you'd also have a .pp2 file to go with it. You can always import whatever that may be, and then save it in your library (just add it, click the "+" and it'll jump into your library) and you can use it later by just opening the library and adding it. Hope that explains some things.
There is a good guide to which file type goes where on the DAZ site: http://www.daz3d.com/pages/faq/techtipsmain.html A tutorial on the different file types and what they do can be found here: http://poserunderground.virtualave.net/poser/postut.html Look under "Eric Jewett" and you'll find the link.

I only got Poser 4 yesterday, and made 2 posers pretty good with my photoshop knowledge ;). I then see you have some excellent downloads here, and finally come round to getting a few things. Some of them only contain a .obj file and someone advised me to place it in the props/prop types , and then I put the template in the /template but then nothing happens, same as before? Whats wrong, and I've also I've had several .rsr and a .obj but theres no readme, can you people help please?
